Welcome to Lake Ridge Elementary School!
Lake Ridge Elementary School is a fully accredited school of 660 students in grades K-5. We're a 13-time Prince William County School of Excellence awardee. We are proud of our French Program. We're a friendly community and we love our students!

Thank You, PTO!
LRES students and staff would like to thank our PTO for their hard work on behalf of our students. This year our PTO bought 30 iPads, an iPad cart, and many other resources for LRES.   To see students using the iPads, click the Technology button at the left, then Technology Users.  Thank you, PTO, for this and for the many wonderful things you've done for our school!

Moving or Registering for School?
If you are moving or registering for school over the summer, please contact the LRES Registrar, Deb Neal, at NealDK@pwcs.edu.  Because the LRES office is being renovated over the summer, Mrs. Neal will have limited access to files after June 19.

School Supply Lists
We hope all of our students and parents are enjoying the summer.  Here are the supply lists for the 2014-15 school year.  All grade levels are included in the one list for convenience.  See you in the Fall!
Family Movie Night and Silent Auction
LRES family, friends, and staff joined together for the PTO-sponsored Family Movie Night and Silent Auction. Local businesses donated many awesome prizes for the silent auction and raffle. Students enjoyed pizza and an exciting movie. Thank you to our PTO for organizing this wonderful event for our community.
5th Graders Visit French Restaurant
Fifth graders were treated to a culinary experience during a field trip to French restaurant Bistro L'hermitage in Occoquan. The students enjoyed a choice of desserts, which they ordered in French. Merci beaucoup to the LRES PTO for helping to defray the cost of this special experience. The students had a wonderful time!
Character Counts Day
Recently, we celebrated LRES Character Counts Day. Students and staff dressed in different colors representing the six pillars:  Citizenship, Respect, Trustworthiness, Responsibility, Fairness, and Caring.  We were fortunate to have Mrs. Matory as our guest speaker.  She gave a wonderful presentation on the six pillars and provided fun activities for the students.  Thank you, Mrs. Matory, for helping LRES students celebrate Character Counts Day!
Science Fun
Lake Ridge Elementary School celebrated classes that "Kept their 10" in the cafeteria with a science presentation from Dr. Jason Calhoun, Science Supervisor for Prince William County Schools. We'd like to thank Dr. Calhoun for the interesting and fun demonstrations he shared with our school. The students had a great time and learned a lot about science!
Family Reading Night
LRES families enjoyed an evening of reading and entertainment when Ronald McDonald presented a program about the fun and magic or reading  at our  Family Reading Night.  The evening ended with the excitement of a free raffle of McDonald's gift cards.
Boosterthon Fun Run
Our Boosterthon Fun Run was held recently, with lots of fitness and fun for our students! This PTO fundraiser provides students with positive messages about fitness and friendship and has a goal of raising money for a set of iPads and an iPad cart for our students.  Thank you to our students for their enthusiastic participation and to the many parents who helped with the event.
LRES is a School of Excellence!
Lake Ridge Elementary has been named a PWCS School of Excellence!  This is the highest recognition awarded by our school board and is based on performance during the 2012-13 school year.  We'd like to thank our students and our staff, PTO, parents and supportive community for working together to increase student learning.  Congratulations, LRES Community!
