Miss Sindi

Welcome to 2nd grade! It is going to be a wonderful year!

My name Miss Sindi and I am so excited to be your teacher this year. I was born and raised in Annandale, Virginia. I am a FCPS alumni but a PWCS teacher! I graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Elementary Education and also am a grad student at Mason where I will be receiving my Masters degree in Education by May 2020! This is my first year of teaching and I am so excited for all the memories that we will create together!

I use class Dojo to share information, photos and weekly newsletters to inform you about our class news!
As always please do not hesitate to contact me anytime Via email sindis@pwcs.edu

CONTINUED EDUCATION DURING THE COVID-19 SCHOOL CLOSURE

Parents,

As we settle into this social distancing and possibly homeschooling if your schedule allows, I want to let you know that I am here if you need any guidance as to what we would be learning if were at school and how you can best help continue the education from home.  Please see the updated pacing guide in the Files and Documents folder.  This will show you the planned topics of focus in each content area, broken down by week.

If we were in school this first week of the extended closure, we would be continuing our probability unit in math.  Most of the class took their ecosystems test last Friday, so we would have been starting our geography unit in social studies.  In language arts, we would have been learning about locating answers in texts read.  For now, I recommend having the kids log into Clever and work in Moby Max, read in myON, explore in BrainPOP, and work in Dreambox.
Please check dojo regularly, I update our class story more frequently!

Say hello to the KIDDOS and have them know that I miss them so much and can't wait till we are back together again!!
