Divisionwide Announcements
Welcome to Lake Ridge Elementary School!
Lake Ridge Elementary School is a fully accredited school of 600 students in grades K-5. We're a 12-time Prince William County School of Excellence awardee. We are proud of our French Program. We're a friendly community and we love our students!

Lake Ridge Lions are Active

Lake Ridge Lions, staff and alumni had a great time participating in the annual Lake Ridge May Day 5K. This event, sponsored by the Lake Ridge Road Runners, promotes fitness and raises funds for scholarships.

Supporting the Military Child
April was the month of the Military Child.  The LRES Staff wore purple recently to show support for our military families.  We also celebrated them by hosting a Military Family Game & Pizza Night.  Everyone had a great time!  Thank you to everyone for coming out to support our military families.
School of Excellence Celebration
Lake Ridge Elementary School has been named a PWCS School of Excellence!  This is the highest recognition awarded by the Prince William County School Board.  We'd like to thank our students for working so hard and our staff, PTO, parents and community for working together to increase student learning.  We'd also like to thank our Superintendent, Dr. Walts, our Area Associate, Mrs. Goss, our School Board Representative, Mrs. Jessie, and our Virginia State Delegate, Rich Anderson, for helping us to celebrate the achievement.
Spring Carnival!
Students, former students, families, and staff members turned out for the annual LRES Spring Carnival. There were many fun activities including face painting, indoor and outdoor games, and a balloon artist.  Among the highlights of the day were the Bountiful Baskets.  Many thanks to the PTO for sponsoring this wonderful event and to all the volunteers who worked to make it a success!
Family Math Night
Recently LRES students and their families attended an evening of problem solving, game playing, mathematical thinking and family togetherness. The annual LRES Family Math Night was a great success and everyone had a wonderful time!  Thank you to the Math Committee for providing this fun-filled event for our community.
Pride in Our French Program
Mr. Jackson, a custodian at LRES, showed his pride, creativity, and building ability by creating this seven-foot tall popsicle stick model of the Eiffel Tower as a symbol of our French language program.  Mrs. Rigot, LRES French Department Chair, Mrs. Sanders, LRES Principal, and Mr. Jackson are shown with his reproduction of the Eiffel Tower which is proudly being displayed in the school lobby.
