Teacher Class Assignments and Bus Information

Teacher class assignments and bus information are now housed in “The Hub” and accessible through ParentVUE. The Division sent out emails to parents over the summer to provide accessibility information. An excerpt is attached. For additional information, please visit

Our Division has an app called “Here Comes the Bus” that allows families to receive real time information regarding the bus for their child. For more information, please visit

School Supplies

The “Meet and Greet” event on Friday, August 23, would be a great time to bring school supplies to your child’s classroom. If you need any assistance in securing or purchasing supplies, please don’t hesitate to let us know. Supply lists are available in the front office or on our school website at

First Day of School

We welcome you to walk your children into school the first day of school, Monday, August 26, without signing in at the office. Parents will be able to walk their child to their classroom door between 8:40 and 8:50 a.m. The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will be hosting a Boohoo/Yahoo event at 8:50 a.m. in the cafeteria. After the first day, children will enter the building and walk to class on their own, with the help of our dedicated and caring staff members.

We are excited to have had local and state assistance supporting our efforts for increased safety measures, which placed an additional sign near our school. Please note that U-Turns should not take place on Hedges Run Drive. All children should be dropped off in our Car Rider Lane, rather than being dropped off on Hedges Run Drive.

Car Riders

You may have noticed our new addition and new car rider lane. We are excited about the efficiency that this new car rider lane will create. If your child will be a car rider, you will need to secure a car rider number and tag from Mrs. Carolyn Gioia, office assistant. Please feel free to come to the front office or stop by the designated table at the Meet and Greet event in order to sign out a car rider number and gather additional information. This additional step will help us add a layer of additional security.

Your child’s safety is our number one priority. Please ensure that you have a picture identification when you come to school for any reason to ease our safety procedures.

Walkers coming from the cul-de-sac section of Hedges Run Drive, will continue to follow the sidewalk down onto school property rather than cross at the crosswalk. The sidewalk curves down and the students will enter the building through the front doors.

Those children walking from the Old Bridge Road side of the school will continue to walk to the steps off Hedges Run Drive and enter through the side doors.

Going home, all the walker children will exit the building and go up the stairs to Hedges Run Drive. As always, the children who need to head toward the cul-de-sac will cross at the crosswalk.

Parents are asked to stay at the top of the stairs as students are dismissed. This helps children see where they are going as they exit the school doors. Thank you for your support!

Changes in Transportation

We ask that if you need to change the way your child is going home from school, please send a note in with your child or email your child’s teacher, Mrs. Gioia, and Mrs. Neal in the front office. All email addresses can easily be found on our school website at After 3 p.m., we will not release students until dismissal at 3:30 p.m. to ensure that dismissal procedures are given the attention they deserve. Therefore, please plan accordingly for appointments and special outings.

Breakfast and Lunch

We are pleased to offer a complete breakfast and lunch each day in our school cafeteria. A complete student breakfast can be purchased at school for $1.50. Children will enter the building and go directly to the cafeteria if they are purchasing breakfast once the school bus arrives or by 8:45 a.m. A complete student lunch can be purchased for $2.50. More information can be found at
